Rumor: X to the Z and the Likwit Crew to Reunite?

I heard a little rumor that the Liks, King Tee and Xzibit might be reuniting in the near future. I know some of you tight jeans wearers might be a bit young to remember, but these guys had a strong force in Hip-Hop at one point in time.

Also, X to the Z had a recent birthday party in Vegas and the guys got together. This included King Tee, Tha Liks, Dafari, Ras Kass, Cold 187 (Above The Law) and others. I’ll be happy to see this reunion.

Pimp My Ride Move to Syndication in 2008

Independent syndicator Litton Entertainment said it is making two MTV series — “Cribs” and “Pimp My Ride” — available to broadcast stations for a fall 2008 launch in syndication.

“Cribs” is a take on “Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous,” giving viewers a look inside celebrity homes, while “Pimp My Ride” features extreme makeovers of automobiles.

“This programming is at the center of popular culture and has become part of the American vernacular,” Litton president and CEO Dave Morgan said. “Millions loved these series on MTV, and now this wider theater will bring in millions more viewers who have never been able to see these shows.”

Xzibit Cuts Off Braids After Over 10 Years

Xzibit
West Coast rapper Xzibit has come a long way since he began in the early 90s running around with the Alkaholiks. But as his career took off, one thing was constant, his long braided hair.

The rapper was recently spotted at Sacramento Kings owner Gavin Maloof’s housewarming party in Las Vegas and he was looking very different — completely shaven and a buzzed head.

It’s one of the rare times in his over 10 year career that he has been seen without his trademark braids (see photo).

The 33-year-old Xzibit (real name: Alvin Nathaniel Joiner) began his career as a member of Tha Alkaholiks’ Likwit Crew. In 1995, he inked a deal with Loud Records in which he released his debut album, At the Speed of Life, the next year in 1996.

He went on to release five more albums — 1998’s 40 Dayz & 40 Nightz, 2000’s platinum certified Restless, 2002’s Man Vs. Machine, 2004’s Weapons of Mass Destruction and 2006’s Full Circle.

Along the way, Xzibit also became household name as a host of the wildly popular MTV show “Pimp My Ride.”

After all the years, X has a new look.
