The title of the track is "Black and Brown". The track talks about the street politics between Black and Hispanic males on the street and inmates in jails.
The track appears to be produced by "The Arkitects" but it is too early to be 100% sure.

I am definitely feeling this track, so much that...
(Intro)
What's up...
We need to talk
Let me light my backwood
(sound of a lighter, then X inhales it and then exhales)
(glass breaks in background)
That's why we need to sit down
And talk about the black and the brown
(Verse 1)
Yo, I love Los Angeles
You can hear it in my music
Plus I got the scars to prove it
And man... you don't understand what I understand
I'm feeling like a piece to a bigger plan
Cause all I'm saying is the God honest truth of it all
We fighting the wrong enemy, that's why I'm gettin' involved
It's just like the end of that movie Saw
When them two chanied up guys meet with their demise
And the mastermind was laying there the whole time
Remember that?
That's why we have to sit
And speak about the black and the brown
(Verse 2)
Now I didn't come here to point no fingers
I know over the years that the pain still lingers over past confrontations
****, we all on parole or probation and in ****ed up situations
And everybody lose, from the pen to the neighborhoods
Now it's even in the high schools
As I was watchin' K-CAL news
When the students squared off and when the one kid wouldn't choose sides
Hit with a hammer and the kid died
And now it's a full blown riot, that's when the fist start flyin
These kids ain't learnin' **** about math nor science... man
(Chorus)
Tension is so thick, summer comin' round
I don't want to see no more of us up under the ground
So now, that's why we need to sit down
And talk about the black and the brown
Eighty percent of inmates are black and hispanic
They tryin' to wipe us all off the face of this planet, dammit
That's why we need to sit down
And talk about the black and the brown
(Verse 3)
Yo, I got the homie José from way back in the day
He came and scooped me up in his all white 6-Tré
And he really don't **** with nobody outside of the sect
It's tattered big on his neck you know
So over the years build respect and trust
So black and brown issues we both discuss
He said 'homie, it's been goin' down too long
I gotta bang them fools and it don't feel wrong
They kill my cousin over 88 bricks
So word came down we gotta handle that ****
Kill all mayatés and white t-shirts"
To tell the truth homes the truth does hurt
But first I remind him of what vengence do, what vengence is and who vengence belongs to
He wasn't tryin' to hear that ****
He just turned up the volume bangin' 50
(Chorus)
Tension is so thick, summer comin' around
I don't want to see no more of us up under the ground
So now, that's why we need to sit down
And talk about the black and the brown
Eighty percent of inmates are black and hispanic
They tryin' to wipe us all off the face of this planet, dammit
That's why we need to sit down
And talk about the black and the brown
(Verse 4)
I got soldiers from both sides who really don't care
Who identify themselves by the colors they wear
The homie came through to put one in the air
I could tell something was wrong the way he sat in his chair
He said X... man, I'm just gettin' out from doing 88 months
Tryin to figure things out
He told me in the pen you get down or get done
Because the brown and black ratio was 5 to 1
He showed me the scar on his gut and his neck
They got him good, said he damn near bled to death
The hate was so deep I could see in his eyes
When he described what's it feels like to almost die
All I could do was just sit back and listen
Bout how he was bout to send soldiers on missions
I got hit with a bottle (glass breaks) but I'm not dead
I said think with your heart homie and not your head.
I said
(Outro) Male singer
Oooh you must defend yourself
If you don't then one else
Your homie got to rise
Your body for your life
They want both of us dead
You ain't heard a word I said
Your body for your life
Your homie got to rise
(Music to fade)

Yo! this new forum is looking good so far, it still needs some stuff to be added and bugs to be fixed as Justin said, but I like it, as well as Black and Brown...damn I liked the song a lot, it's better than concentrate and rollin, and I hope the other songs are as great as this one...
but here's one thing...in verse 3, line 11, how can you kill a mayate( Ladi Di, you haven't corrected it yet) if it is supposed to be a dead man's spirit in mexican culture? I dunno, I'm just sayin that it kinda looks awkward...i dunno what you guys might think...
hey Justin, nice job man, keep it up! later y'all :D
P.S.: dman, my green font doesn't look good with the blue background...:(

no prob
but hey...am I right about the MAYATES? whatcha guys think...I remember the definition of mayate that Ladi Di showed me, that's what I remember, a dead man's spirit, from a family...so, read the verse, and think...lol
hey Ladi Di...do you like orange better than green now?? haha
Lady Di
08-18-2006, 05:22 AM
Yep Daniel, the orange is readable, (laughs) I had to highlight the green or tilt the lappy weirdly to read the green.
And as I have read in other sources, the word 'mayate' is a person of color and/or mexican/hispanic. So sorta like the N word (which I dispise) to us African Americans. The word read like it could be seen as derrogatory depending on it's usage.

now I see...it depends in the context on which the word is used...I was getting surprised that there would be nonsense in the lyrics...thanx
yep, i like my orange ^^
