(snuck this one in on ya)
Have anything you'd like to know about Justin, the owner of this site and it's newly added forum? I do and I hope, within reason, he'll answer.
So here goes:
What made you decide to do a site on Xzibit?
Where'd you get your start as in knowledge sources on starting a site?
Would you ever do another fan based website? Why?
What was your first conversation with X like? What was your reaction to meeting THE MAN himself? Were you nervous?
How was your first X concert?
What did X say when he first was informed you were doing a site related to his music?
What would you like to see in the future for this site and how X is related to it?
Anything you'd like to add, please do so.

What made you decide to do a site on Xzibit?
I originally ran a tupac website, but that got old and boring as everyoen out there owns a tupac website. So i decided i'd start an Xzibit site - i originally started thinking about how i might one day get to meet the man... and sure enough, after i stuck with it for like 3 years, its come through!
Where'd you get your start as in knowledge sources on starting a site?
I guess i just researched, gathered all sorts of information. There were no good Xzibit sites online so i thought i would change that.
Would you ever do another fan based website? Why?
Nah i doubt it, websites are hard things to create and get popular - it takes lots of time and effort to start them up. Xzibit's my favorite rapper, so theres no other person i would want to start a fan site about..
What was your first conversation with X like? What was your reaction to meeting THE MAN himself? Were you nervous?
Oh the first conversation was crazy! I was on the phone to X's online promo lass from Sony records. She was like, "ive got a suprise for you, just hold on" - then X's voice came over the line - i was pumped! I didnt know what to say!
How was your first X concert?
It was awesome - me and my brother got to hang out backstage before and after the concert. It was crazy how everything turned out. Good fun!
What did X say when he first was informed you were doing a site related to his music?
X knew about the site ages before i knew he knew... if that makes sense. I've got some friends in the DVD business, who's partners are the guys who made the Xzibit DVD. The partners in the US told my Aussie friends that Xzibit was checking out my site on one of the computers they had there.
It turns out that X asked his Sony people to get in touch with me to do the official website - thats how we first got in touch. Its good to see an artist reaching out to the fans these days!
What would you like to see in the future for this site and how X is related to it?
I'd like to see X and the whole Strong Arm Steady crew on these forums regularly. If we make this place popular enough, its bound to happen!

WOW you're so lucky Justin!
I know exactly what it's like, because I used to run an unofficial website about a soccer player, but then when I got in touch with his agent, I got into trouble. I was asked to shut everything down, so I did...only to realise that he was cool about my website (it's just his agent who became big headed and over-protective). He ended up firing that agent, and I got caught in the middle...it's not nice. But the good thing is that he's ok with me when I see him, so that's what matters.

Thats pretty crazy, unlucky that the manager was a tight ***.

He is lucky isnt he? Thanks so much for answering. Justin. I always wonder where other webmasters/mistresses get their start. I wanted to do Prince, The Artist ALWAYS know as PRINCE. But at the time, he and Warner were having a BAAAD fight. So much that he could not use his birth name. So he went across the net asnd threatened to sue everyone who used ANYthing related to him and his music. Screeech past that idea.
I was on a forum for New York Undercover in the 95/6 time frame - about Season 2 and this girl had a NYU site. I begged her to tell me how she did it. I read HTML for Dummies plus any other material and it was on. The site went thru many changes and $$'s since that time. I am sure he likes it b/c he's never told me to take it down. (laughs) But he's never donated anything either. It was very hard to get info on him and still is today. Seems if they see someone taking that much effort, they'd want to help. No matter... my is the only site on the net for him still today. His two domains aren't even ranking over my one site (laughs).
Shaggy, well kids were puuting all this great music info on MCA and you all see where they are today. So I was totally ill with the flu when I decided to take this challenge on. In the head too (laughs). He knew about the site days after it was up and was happy as I was told by an inside source. So me and my big mouth announced I was going to his concert and it was arranged that I meet him. I never thought about meeting any of these people b/c I like ot be low key. Anyhow, I met him and he was not who the industry pumped up to be. He was so tired from a college tour gettting girls for Freaky Girl vid. Anyhow, long story dhort, I was honored and I still hang with them from VA, DC, MD, and NY. I took my fisrt trip to Canada, earlier this year, to hang with an avid fan and do a back to back concert stint. It was great!! I get all access to whatever I want. But I really don't ask for a thing. They donate concert info but I have to pull teeth to get it.
And on Gary... someone else who admired my work and world wide connections asked me to start that one. I really fell and bumped my head.
Fans sites give a lot of stuff away and this is where the poliTRICKS come in. We do it to support them by helping to keep their name and rep going but we bring them no $$'s And this is how the business is...
So to read your story Justin, it is truly sweet. It is good he gave you Official rights. You know your are in THERE!! Keep up the most awesome work, ok?
Nanou - that was pretty messed up. So would you do another one on anyone else?
OUT!!
