Mr DJ I, I know you only came to drop some info but I have some ?'s. Would you indulge us?

Where did you get your start as a DJ?

What provoked that name?

Who are some of your influences musically? Personally?

How long have you known X?

How did you get to work with him still today?

Who are you? As in what you can/will say about you.

Just like the topic, introduce yourself... just a lil more, when time permits.

See ya!!

Lady DI called me out and requested more info so here it is

My Name Dj Invisible comes from a book The Invisible Man an old book about a young Black man trying to make it in society while being ignored by mainstream society. I felt that was my struggle in the music game. When I started Spinnin in the early 90's Djin' was getting overshadowed by the producers and the rappers.

Xzibit and I are cousins so I have known him all my life.

we hooked up musically for the first time in 92 when I produced a show in Michigan and had him fly in to perform. 10 years later in 02 I was asked to be his tour Dj and ever since I have been Holdin down that post.

Musically I enjoy The Alkoholiks, Tribe, Run DMC, NWA, Linkin Park

I enjoy watching Dj Battles and long walks on the beach

When Xzibit is doing Films and shooting PMR I get the chance to tour the world on my own Spinning in Nite clubs all over the world.

you can find my tour dates and xzibit dates on my site

DJ Invisible - :o I didn't mean to spotlight you. Honest. I appreciate it though b/c I know your time is valuable and rare. I'm the oldest in here and the ones most likely to get banned as well. :P So since I am surrounded with those who are waaaay younger, I try to go where they probably won't.

Interesting on your name of choice. Sounds like grand inspiration to me. DJ battles are wicked. And walks on the beach? Awww... what a romantic. If you see in here, I started an about me as well. They tell me I am a MB fanatic b/c I love to communicate with any and everyone. Who's to argue!?!

Ok, let me go be busy somewhere else  . Again, thanks for sharing you. I hope we see more of you after you take that millisecond to breathe.

BTW - I'll check your site out in a min. ;) (noice site)

DJ Invisible - I have a question (or fiddy :p )... did you guys pass thru DC/B-more, if so where? I read where X says he hit up all "America's Truck Stops", I live mere mins from the most well known in this area. Just curious b/c I really wanted to see the bus and get pics for Justin.

Anyhow, on the Letterman live experience... how did you feel about the performance? I know you are not new to this but that live performance has 76,000 views (multi views included I am sure) and seems the 160+ posts (me included) are sorta surprised by this type of tune from X and/or any rapper. What say you to this??

BTW - in your next site update, change you cuz's link to read .com vs .net ;) And where's this tour schedule??? :D

Well I read your "perspective Tripper, but what happened to it here??? :D

Anyhow here's a lil mention on DJ Invisi's off-Xzibit happenings:

It's rhyme time for local poets

Mekeisha Madden Toby / The Detroit News (http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070816/ENT01/708160426/1032/ENT)

If you could harness the nervous energy of a novice poet, you could probably light up the city of Detroit for a good couple hours.

Ah, the butterflies that come with actually reading one's sacred thoughts before a room of utter strangers. Poetry host and promoter Fluent hopes to ease such fears with his Mahogany Revue, a showcase that spotlights and celebrates Detroit's ever-evolving poetry community.

The monthly event, which kicks off tonight at the Music Hall Jazz Café, brings together some of the area's most renowned talent, such as Versiz and Lyna, while encouraging undiscovered poets to sign up and perform during an open mic.

"If you've ever been to an open mic, then you know new poets don't always feel comfortable with what they've written," says Fluent, a poet/rapper and the former host of Tuesday night poetry reads at the now defunct Café Mahogany, which was in Detroit's Harmonie Park. "I want people to come out and feel good enough about what they've done to share it with the rest of the world."

This is a world, wonderfully enough, that also reunites Fluent and his former Mahogany compatriots DJ Invisible on the turntables and Cen on drums. This will be the first time the trio have performed together since Mahogany closed its doors in 2000.

Since then, Fluent, who is in his late 20s, has gone on to release an album, is currently in the studio and is working on a book. DJ Invisible, the tour DJ for Xzibit, recently performed with the rapper at Live Earth.

Fluent says he hopes that Mahogany Revue takes old Mahogany-heads back in time while exposing the uninitiated to a place where words are king. To emphasize that coffeehouse vibe, local artisans, such as the Dopest Ethiopians, will have works on display in the lobby.

"I want this to be an entertaining and educational event," Fluent says. "A place where local poets can try out new pieces, national poets can perform when they're in town and a place parents can feel good about bringing their teenage sons."
