UPDATED: Xzibit announces Australian tour – 11 shows in Nov/Dec 2011

UPDATE: CANBERRA NOW ADDED TO THE LIST

Australia will see the return of hip hop heavyweight Xzibit in November.
Xzibit marks his return to Australia after almost five years with a whirlwind tour that sees him cover 11 venues in a just over a fortnight. Alongside capital cities, X will grace Newcastle, Cairns, Townsville, Traralgon and Hobart for the first time ever.

New Name For The New Xzibit Album: RESTLESS 2

RESTLESS 2 is the new name of the much anticipated Xzibit album.

"MMX (2010) was the tend. title of the new album. Of course that wont work now, so I decided the body of work has earned the title: #RESTLESS2"

Xzibit Drops ‘Urban Ammo 2’ With Extreme Music/Sony ATV

Rapper Xzibit has teamed with Extreme Music, the production music library arm of Sony/ATV Music Publishing, to release a new compilation of material titled Urban Ammo 2.

Xzibit produced, composed and performed the tracks on Urban Ammo 2, which contains 40 tracks, created primarily for professional music users and music supervisors in need of material for their movie/television productions.

Extreme Music has made two of the 40 tracks from the Extreme's production music library available to the public via iTunes.

Xzibit enlisted veteran director Matt Alonzo to shoot the videos for the two singles, which are titled "Man on the Moon" and "What It Is."

“Working with Extreme has been a wonderful experience," Xzibit told AllHipHop.com in a press release. "The music created for Urban Ammo 2 has been [in] collaboration with artists whom I feel are the next generation of stars in Hip Hop, R&B and Rock. Unleashing these tracks is gonna wreak some havoc!”

Other acts on Extreme Music's roster include Young DE, Quincy Jones, Snoop Dogg,  Junkie XL and Paul Oakenfold.

TV shows and movies like "Glee," "Entourage," "30 Rock," "Avatar," "Inception" and various major advertisers have used selections from Extreme's production music library.

The world premiere of both “Man on the Moon” and “What It Is” took place on April 13th 2011.

Xzibit Returning To TV In New FOX Series

Xzibit Joins Cast Of Weekend At Bellvue

Rapper Xzibit is reportedly preparing his return to television.

X to the Z, is a part of Fox's pilot for a new medical drama titled Weekends At Bellvue, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The show is based on the memoir of psychiatrist Julie Holland M.D and centers around a doctor in charge of the weekend shift at Bellevue's psychiatric ward. Xzibit has been tapped to play the role of a character named “Chuck.”

Actors Lauren Ambrose, Janet McTeer, Eric Winter and Amber Stevens have also signed on to be a part of the new series. No date has been given for the premiere of the show.

Xzibit is no stranger to the camera. The West coast rapper turned actor has starred in several films including, 8 Mile, xXx: State of the Union, Hoodwinked, Gridiron Gang, The X-Files: I Want to Believe and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, as well as hosting the popular MTV series Pimp My Ride.
